  • Don't pity them. They will have fulfilling lives within a rich culture of capable people. It is likely that these children were born deaf and therefore have not lost anything. They do not resent the fact that they cannot hear any more than we resent the absence of any number of senses we have never experienced. They will have many joyous memories in their lives set to a wonderfully expressive and beautiful language.

  • i am soooo teaching my kids to learn how to understand sign language deaf or not.... now all i need to do now is learn

  • I heard the children can learn to sign faster then they can learn any spoken language, so it is good for kids to learn to sign early whether they are deaf or not.

    That's why I want to learn to sign so bad.
