This is C64 retro band 6581 performing the music from Mutants on Back in Time Live Stockholm 2008. Joining them on stage is original composer Fred Gray. The band consists of Reyn Ouwehand, Eike Steffen (aka Romeo Knight), Andreas Wallström (aka Morpheus/Flash Inc./C64.COM), and Anders Larsson.

  • When i was a teen in the 80's and loving computer music,i believed that Fred Gray was Matt Gray's brother because their C64 tunes were so good.

    I had forgotten about the Mutants soundtrack by Fred Gray,i first heard it in a shop after asking the owner to load it up on the C64 because the Inlay card printed the words "Music by Fred Gray"

    This video is bloody wonderful,never saw Fred before so great to see the man at last and i really really love the live performance that you guys put together!

  • @nikamota Thanks a lot! The cool thing is also that Fred is a great guy, so when you meet him, his music gets even better. This is not always the case when meeting your old heroes...
