"Stranger In Town" is such a great and deep song, filled with paranoia and desperation. Del's the greatest, this should have been a Top 10 record, not Top 30. The camera angles are friggin' great! Love it! Just my cop it!

@lilmisscarriage messy yes but quick and painless and cyanide is not always so easy to come by It might have been the most viable way at hand I hope he did he out of doors especially if he did not live alone Tragic as they say the good die young or at least reasonalby young

Breathtaking perfomance considering when it was filmed. I love the set and lighting too.

First song to scare me half to death....I was just a young boy and I heard this and never stopped loving Del......this and Handy Man are in my top 20 singles of all time.....

I bought this record when I was 15 and as much as I liked Del his best recordings were behing him how could they not be? with classics like Runaway, Little Town Flirt etc. A great talent it's too bad he lost his life the way he did He'll always be remembered

This guy leaves modern day videos a mile behind

This live version is spell binding and Del's singing is just fantastic. I wish there were more of Del from this period...

@delshannonnetwork I sure remember early 1965 as being very desperate; I was 14 or 15 and always in trouble and this song and something or other by the Shangri-Las was always on the radio. Crazy desperate time.
Rarities like this are why I hang out on YouTube. Live performances from this era are hard to come by. I'd sure like to know where this one was filmed.
