@IndependentImages I've always liked Poco's version too; it's "pretty". But no one sings it with more feeling than JJ Cale. After all.... he did write the song.

Like J.J. Cale's own versions of this song the best. Very gentle, subtle, melodic, and minimal.

Saw him at the Saddle Rack - in front of an audience of maybe 50 people in the mid 80's. In the middle of the set he called Neil Young up from the audience and played a couple of songs with him.

His music has been on my stereo since 1979(?): I was on the local road crew in Memphis at the Fairgrounds, where he was playing. I met him when I ran cable before the performance; I just asked him how much he needed. When they started playing, I was MESMERISED! I also got to see Christine Lakeland for the first time - what an memory - I'll never forget it.
