testing these 2 detectors to see how well they work , i ahve 3 coins buried in my back yard in a "test patch" .. A Nickel , a Dime and a Quarter , all 3 are exactly 6 inches deep ......... the BH Sharpshooter II works great and depth is pretty good , only issue i have eith this detector is that after about 5 inches that in some areas near power lines the "ground balance" is off a little and the ID display will give you a mixed reading on what type of object in buried , i have dug holes 8 inches deep on quarters so its a pretty good machine for the money.. The Garrett Trasure Ace 100 is a great beginner detector and in my opinion is one of the best "coinshooter" detector for the money, descriminates metals verry well and after a couple of "mods" it goes quite deep as well, no real issues on this detector and this is probably one of the best "turn on and go" detectors out there ..

  • found any gold with your sharp shooter II at all?

  • @vegetagod85374 Found a 10K gold ring at the local park with it . Good detectors fr the money ..

  • about what you would expect with a bounty hunter.

  • @ihatepulltabs True , Bounty hunter detectors are good detectors for coinshooting , my buddy has a Tracker IV and pulls more coins out of the ground than me with my Minelab Quattro but i go for the deep targets , still verry good for the price..

  • GREAT video.I appreciate this one because i bought a used Treasure Ace 100. Could you decscribe the "mods" that you reference regarding the Ace 100?

    Thanks

  • @weisslakejps The mods are internal , i re-adjusted the pot's but i dont reccomend this ..

  • You might know this alteady. You can get deepper response when using headset.

Reason feedback from coil is based on size of reflection/metal ect. So bigger object usually more ect. So really small object gives smaller signal. Speakers on metal detectors are usually require more energy to make signal than smaller head set so you will find a same size object deeper with headset versus not. Great video. thks

  • heh, after some metal detecting with the treasure ace 100,my opinion changed about it,it s quite good, found some coins with it,i could find much more if i go in parks or other populated places, but i still have no authorization of using it :P(found a bullet casing yesterday)

  • @texasmetaldetector well then thanks for replying
