  • Did you reinforce the motor mount at all? If so do you have pictures?

  • yes sure did..i put a couple of self threded screws in it...and then forced a wood dowel in from one side to the other

  • (and did it stop any vibrations??)

  • if you are getting a bad vib...then you might have a bent motor shaft...or you might be swinging to big a prop...i tryed a 42 60 500 kv motor on 5s...with a 15 x 7 prop the foam could not handle it, to much tork...this plane flys best on 4s and a power 32 (770kv) with a 14x7 prop

  • 1/4 inch...

  • I think I will get me one with floats, have water, but soon snow. Should work well on snow this winter.

  • yes i bet it would fly well from the snow with floats on...

  • Love this plane on floats - I would like to do this as well - which floats did you use ?

  • Thanks for the reply! What diameter dowel did you use? Really flies beautifully in this video.

  • Very nice video and beautiful nature. I used to fly Mentor with floats as well but I don't have such a nice lake.

Though flying with floats is very interesting and nice, especially smooth landings like that one in the end of the video.
