The SprayDots is a Task oriented Automated SubSystem (TASS) capable of performing ultra high accuracy application of micro chemicals either on all green plants or selectively on weed species. SprayDots enables small lightweight robotic carriers to perform environmental friendly weed control.
SprayDots is:
•able to discriminate between weed and crops
•capable to target and apply micro volumes of herbicides on single weed plants in real-time
•able to estimate plant velocity visually and adjust herbicide application accordingly
•achieve at least 90 % savings in herbicide usage compared with conventional application methods
Status
•Prototype with a 17 cm spray width 16 nozzles (a smaller with 7cm boom width and 6 nozzles)
•Currently planning a 100cm boom with two times 100 nozzles, capable of independently applying two different herbicides

@VYXtreme This means the SprayDots is capable of discriminating different species of living plants and apply micro-doses only onto the weeds - whereas the WeedSeeker is only capable of targeting cells of e.g. 1 square foot - however with a significantly higher speed and cost efficient manner than the current SprayDots system. The SprayDots system will be able to reduce the herbicide usage >99% compared to conventional sprayer system (not compared to the WeedSeeker >50% herbicide reductions)

@VYXtreme The weed product (to my knowledge) cannot discriminate between living material. Based on NDVI which is the normalize difference of reflected near infrared and red light (red well) and threshold values the nozzles is activated spraying cells off approx. one square foot.
The SprayDots system's mode of action is significantly more advanced. Based high resolution real time imaging and feature based discrimination microjets are activated only when weeds are passing.

How much different to a Weedseeker product is this at the camera? Are the special nozzles worth the cost over say a normal teejet? Can your camera detect green weeds within green crop and effectively target those weeds?
