And to continue excluding the Indians from the national mainstream development of Malaysia this yet again has been the excuse UMNO has is continuously making.

And UMNO get their pro UMNO mandore Indian newspaper writers and the Tamil dailies, TV 2 Tamil news bulletin, Radio 6 and THR Raaga, to paint a rosy picture that the critical and pressing Indian problems are being addressed (See The Star 17/8/10 at page N 20).

The fact that 1,000 Indians attended the supposed 1 Malaysia but 2 implementation systems people friendly programme for the Indian community in Ijok is not the yard stick of the faith the Indians have in UMNO but how desperate they are in getting even the basic necessities. Stop pushing the buck to your powerless MIC Mandore Minister and address the following which you and only you can solve: grant the estimated 450,000 even sixth generation Malaysian born Indians denied their constitutional Birth Certificates and Identity Cards by December 2011.

In our two hour meeting with the Director of Births, Marriages and Deaths En. Mohd Azmin and 12 other of his officers just last Friday (13/8/10) at the NRD HQ in Putrajaya we were not surprised that they were still maintaining their Malay muslim supremacist civil service attitude and are not fair and sincere in wanting to seriously resolve this 53 year old long outstanding matter.

The Director and his officers had refused to be pro active by dispatching their officers to our office to facilitate language, poverty, illiteracy and follow up let alone wanting to send their mobile units to our proposed Indian settlements. The said Director also turned down our other proposals namely to advertise their NRD telephone number in the three tamil dailies, TV 2 news bullletin, Radio 6 and THR Raaga.

Instead to keep us quiet they want us to bring up to them the individual cases for their consideration. This is how they have "operated" and ably aided and abetted by their MIC, IPF, PPP Indian mandores. But despite knowing that it won't work with HRP and Hindraf they are still up to it.

To the point that P. Uthayakumar had to cite the Sri Lankan experience where the majority Sinhalese in Sri Lanka have been at war with the Sri Lankan Tamils for nearly 30 years and the Singhalese regime army have in fact killed thousands of their Tamil minority to the point of the UN considering a UN Inquiry for Genocide and Crimes Against Humanity.

But there is not a single case of a Sri Lankan Tamil child being denied their Birth Certificate or any adult being denied their Identity Card or Pasport for that matter.

For the simple reason that the Sri Lankan civil service are almost not extremist like the 1,016,779 almost 99% Malay muslim BTN trained Malay-sian civil servants. So when even this one basic fundamental pressing and fundamental issue is not and could not have addressed, Baradan Kuppusamy had been serious when he penned his "A new helping hand for Indians" analysis in The Star today.

Article 14 of the Federal Constitution very clearly provides for citizenship by operation of law on all citizens born in Malaysia after 1957 and at least one of whose parents were born in Malaysia.

The U.N. General Assembly adopted the Declaration of the rights of the child and the Convention on the rights of the child (CRC) in 1989 which enshrines the right to an identity and nationality, education, shelter, safety and healthcare.
