Sorry but this is the by far the worst Bolena ever, a true damage to Donizetti's score. Besides the re-written lines (high notes appear every 2-3 notes out of nowhere because Roland Gagnon -and not Donizetti- has re written this) her middle voice sounds gasping almost falsetto trying to project and this is Amplified Sound because after all it is Studio huh?

Why dont u show us some live Bolena of Sills where we will truly evaluate the projection of her non-existing middle voice. Is there one? :)

@LohengrinT Sopranos don't have falsetto, and I don't care her color or anything what you say about her, she is a great interpret, she touch me and I believe all what she say and this speak about a great artist!!

I am tired from people that just want dramatic screaming voices!! also a light voice can suffer and touch the most deep in a Soul, thank you for your opinion anyway, but Sills was one of the best Donizetti singers in the story of the opera!!!!! BRAVA SILLS!!

@violetavalery I don' t have anything against Netrebko, but I don't like her in Anna Bolena, I have my right to say what I think, she is a good singer, but Prima Donna Absoluta, no, sorry, she must to have more then a nice voice for that, and at the moment she never touch me so deep, like Sillst do in this interpretation.

When I so Anna in Donna Anna (Mozart) I say WOW she is good! but in Bolena I just say...well, she sang nice tones but anything alse...sorry, is my opinion.

i love this:D not dramatic, but powerful in her own way which makes it unique. very good technique. netrebko has a bigger voice but sills is far more convincing.

Sills screams every time she tries sto project through middle voice - that is why her vocal coach Roland Gagnon used to re-write every single line to transfer it higher to avoic her middle voice.

She was exceptional in the roles where the score was naturally located in the high register. In the Assoluta roles (Bolena Norma Devereux) she was a hoax!
