World war 3 FULL MOVIE

Soviet paratroopers drop into Alaska to sabotage the oil pipeline in retaliation against a United States grain embargo. A skirmish occurs at a pumping station, lightly defended by Col. Jake Caffey and a National Guard reckon unit. A stalemate ensues while the possibility of World War III hangs in the balance. The danger escalates as the Russian leaders and the American President play a cat-and-mouse game

The title promised more than the movie could deliver but it was a wonderful small unit fire fight to show how each side could stalemate each other. Just too bad they wasted such a grand title on such a little incident. Still glad you uploaded it. Was playing WW3 Avonhill game when this came out.

@mapexblack Yeah, I got you. And again, TV studios weren't all that good with production back then. If what happened onscreen didn't always match what was being said by the actors, they were like, "Oh well...."

@44excalibur I know all this.. But it doesn't justify the body count.. Someone on the movie wasn't paying attention. That's all.. Also in the movie the Russian comments on the accurate limited fire of the Americans.. owing to low ammo.. Basically the Americans decimated the 40 plus men they initially sent, Thats all i mean

I've seen this movie in a series shown back in 1969 in the local Manila Television Channel 9. It was agreat TV series shown every Friday night.

@mapexblack Well, it was also the limited production values in the early 80's which made it difficult to stage large battle sequences in the pre-CGI era. They would often film scenes from various angles and repeat them over and over, making the battle seem bigger than it actually was and very repetitive. Kind of how The A Team would have the actors shooting hundreds of rounds in all directions and not hit a damn thing. lol

@44excalibur Erm that wasn't my point.. My point was it was 40 men.. they seemed to kill lot's more than 40.. if not Most of them.. I watched it i get the story i was around in the 80's .. Though you make a point. Hollywood.. enough said really.. The bull they spout is laughable
