@TheVasilisas Didn't used to be. The author then got divorced, and the books suddenly became porn. The author denies this as mere coincidence, but... If you want to read an awesome series (one of the best), read Guilty Pleasures through Killing Dance. Some people like it upto Obsidian Butterfly, but that's a judgment call. After that, yeah, it's divorce porn. Read the first few books though. You WON'T be sorry.

When the ardeur was introduced, the Anita Blakeverse died and became porn for women. Nothing wrong with that, but lets call it for what it is. The original Anita Blake world was destroyed and all the original fans were left mourning. Horny, but mourning.
