I found this to be the fastest, easiest way to oc your eee pc. Just takes about 10 seconds to do.

Download EeeClock:

http://prodigy.cpp.in/stg250/eeeclock_0.1.2.zip?nocache

Simply run the app as you see me do in the vid, right click on the icon (located in the toolbar near ur clock etc) and select what speed youd like.

Thats it. Done.

If youd like to check the speed, google up "cpu-z" Thats the app you see me running to check the speed change.

** ALL credit for this app goes to eeeuser.com forum member dci and you can find his original post with much more info here:

** ALSO This seems 100% stable to me, but use this at your own risk.

SONG IS NOT MINE. IT IS BY JAYZ. THIS IS JUST FOR BKG MUSIC PURPOSES. I REALISE ITS AGAINTS THE RULES TO PUT UP MUSIC LIKE THIS, THATS WHY IM SAYING.

  • dude i may use this to help with my games but a few q:

    1. Does the fact of having 2gb ram not help with games w/o o/c?

    2. Hows your eee? Any probs so far with the oc or is it a ok?

  • 1. Yes 2gb ram does help quite a bit, for some heavier games u need the 900mhz along with that for them to run smoothly.

    2. No probs at all, this is a very simple method to oc that has no real risks at all imho. Itll give u a tad less battery life, but that is the only downside.

  • how hot does it run when over clocked cause i heard it runs kinda hot standard?

    great video though

  • Ill check the exact temp, but theres not much diff in the heat when comparing ocd vs non ocd.

  • very nice video and instructions 10x very much

  • Glad you found it usefull.

  • @schmidtbag using eee-control (it's a linux tool).

  • @DivineDrummer777 An older BIOS allowed for that, but it's no longer a possibility. And yes, it's a 900Mhz proc undercloced to 630 stock

  • @levsvel of course you can.The ocing is done from the software running in your tray, so nothing's permanent.

  • like, can I undo this afterwards?

  • I Thought that they come underclocked at 600mhz and the processor is a 900mhz. and you can change that in the bios, or am I wrong?

  • which programme is that with wifi signal strength icon please?

  • Link wont work

  • Thanks a lot for this.

My new 900Mhz toy should now run a thousand hours more until I can afford the big boy netbook,

The Asus that uses an atom or an i3.

  • the celeron m sucks...

    what a pitty

i have it at my old bad-ass laptop
