China Olympics - Switzerland

Tibetan sportsmen are planning to use the Beijing Olympics as a platform to publicise their country's plight. They're hoping the IOC will recognise their application to compete as a national team. "The Tibetans, as people, we are not recognized. And we want to show through our participation that we exist," says athlete Dominick Erne. The International Olympic Committee has already endorsed other non-sovereign states such as Palestine and Taiwan. However, the athletes suspect their late submission will be rejected for fear of offending China. "They are entitled ...to promote their rightful cause," protests journalist Jan Mühlenthaler. "It would be the best moment, if I could beat a Chinese," says incorrigible optimist Dominick Erne. These new political tactics have certainly ruffled a few feathers.

@huvanlee It is just amazing how these people telling the lies without blink their eyes. If you only motive is to have independent Tibet regardless what is happening in Tibet, then you should be honest with others and just say no matter what is happening in Tibet, good or bad you dont give a damn. you just want to Tibet independent. Then I may feel more for you. If you jsut try to use fake negative image about China to win the sympathy for you from others, you will not get that from me.

@aguswidjaja I have the same experience when I was in Tibet. I love Tibet and Tibetan people. There is no hate between the Han Chinese and Tibetans. Only the Tibetans in exile spread lies and distorted information to fool others who dont have much knowlegde about the true Tibet and history of Tibet. Most Titans in exile were and still are slave masters and used brutal system to control tens and thousands Tibetan slaves. They were defeated by Chinese army who librated Tibtan slaves.

@ChinaKillsNuns Why everything pro-China or the truth about China is labeled as propaganda? Is this what you called fair media only to say what you want to hear and else is propaganda? Should I say what you are saying is completely BS? I don't think so. And stop use communist to scare off people. In my opinion that Chinese government is much more people oriented government than US government or other western government. It put its people's welfare at first priority.

What do you mean Tibetan is not realized? If you ask the majority of Tibetans who were the slaves of the slave masters they will tell you how lucky they were librated from the brutal slavery system of the old Tibet. It is like US fought the civil war that librated the slaves from the south and united the country as it is today USA. Tibet issue is not human rights issue. It is West that colonize other countries and use Tibet issue as if there is no other better way to contain China.

Moron, get an education. Palestine is considered a sovereign state by every country in the world and the UN. There is not a single country which considers Tibet to be sovereign from China. The video is pure propaganda.
