Ok you want to look like a dork at the crag. Coil your rope like Paul and you can acheive that. You will be going home alone. Most likely become the laughing stock of the climbing world. Your choice, coil Joe's style and look cool or coil Paul's style and look like a complete and utter fool. Your choice. On second thought might as well learn both methods as you are going to be doing this a lot.

  • convert all this flash videos to mp4 and carry them on your iphone then you can look up the answer if that doesn't work activate the GPS and phone emergency rescue. I love the modern world!

  • I'm a lefty like you. Any tricks or problems with the rope or is everything just a mirror image of being right handed? Many thanks, Ron

  • It all flakes out the same in the end. Like you said everything is just a mirror image. once you have stacked the rope on teh ground there is no way to tell if it was coiled bu a right hander or lefty.

  • Get a rope bag and flake it in, I do this and my rope never tangles and with shorter ropes I chain them like an electrical cord. No tangles ever!

  • Damn gotta admit he's quick. Hmmm interesting tags, some might say misleading.

  • Yikes. Please don't try to get started by asking for help via YouTube vids. Seek professional, in-person guiding help.
