when I first heard "surrounded by incompetence" in the 1980's I was struck hard tat this is something unlike anything else previous or to come. It is 2012 and I must say my little assesment is as accurate thhen as it is now. I only need to get Jim locked into a complete studio with me for a month and i'll be okay.

This album was so goddamn good. I mean jesus christ- it changed the way I look at music and I've been listening to stuff for close to 10 years. I mean I've heard Loveless, countless diamond in the rough albums from the 80's and so many other crazy things- THIS album takes the cake. Its the most fully realized thing I've ever had the privilege to listen to.

That connection with Foetus would explain White Zombie's early noise rock sound.
Shame they went with that god awful "industrial metal" (industrial and metal used in very loose forms) sound in the 90's.
