  • highest peak in france is the mont blanc and about 4850 meters

  • I travelled thru the "Massif Central" region and camped in Le Puy, a village sitting on top of an extinct volcano. The mountains are that high.Rode from Bournemouth, southern England on a Yamaha SR250 SE.ferry from Southampton to Le Harve and then followed"Arthur Eperon's" Travellers Guide to France for an amazing scenic route to Cassis on the Mediterranean. Me and some 800 other bikers from the UK on that ferry.
