Amtrak train 283 rolls by as B-749 switches out CSXT's Croton West Yard in Croton-on-Hudson, NY with CSXT GP38-2s 2807 and 2718. A road train with the last two Oak Point engines still wearing Conrail's Dress Blue sits outlawed with SD40-2s 8844 and 8840.

  • I DID NOT KNOW CANADIAN PACIFIC INTERCHANGED WITH CONRAIL and CSX AT CROTON HARMON

  • they also interchange with local shoreline the OSSINING, MILLWOOD & MORTHERN. U should come check it out, Croton is such a busy place for freight trains there is barely space on the tracks for the couple of BMT Northern Division commuter runs to get through.

  • Oh yes. The OM&N is a small but busy shortline. They have some pretty cool power as well. Come on down and check it out!

  • They use mostly former Conrail B23-7s but the SW1200 and SW1500 they have in the yard at JS are awesome, and the two GPs still in faded PC black rock, plus the ex SCL U23B is supposedly being painted back to NYC Black with white frame stripe! As M.C. Smith would say, FRIGGIN MINT!

  • this one is really great.

  • thanks!
