Strange how I've gotten here. I've been doing a lot of research on cooking oils, and to my surprise, animal fats aka lard/real shortening, and coconut oil is better for you than vegetable oils, which was a brand new health food crave of just the last few decades, going away from our parents and grandparents having been raised on lard, their generation of which I might want to point out, had dramatically lower rates of disease than we have now. So let me just say, I love me some shortenin' bread.

A lot of vegetable oils use transfats, which are much worse for you than animal fats.

As for short'nin' bread, I've never had the chance to try any. I would love to.

my dad was just singig this song when i saked him where the shortening was, haha he told me to look it up, so i did(:
