It is important to note that some of Franco's music may be seen as praise of these leaders they have seeds of criticism imbeded within them as most African music has been since time immemorial. Why, for example was Franco accused and jailed in Mobutu's Zaire for allegedly composing obscene music?

@ Souverain1er.....i did not mean to praise those idiots ....the likes of Idi Amin, Bokassa & Mobutu....they killed thousands.Mobutu particularly is the author of all Congo's problems ...he started by spying against Lumumba for the CIA & Belgium intelligence, then handed Patrice to his killers and perfected kleptocracy ....Musicians were just victims of circumstances ...they either were to sing praises or languish in jail. so my statement was in that context ... the Crown is always right

Emperor Bokasa & President Mobutu...that was the Africa of the 60s & 70s....the head of states were kings....
