Best day of my life. The tube driver announced it over the intercom and the entire carriage cheered.

Even her own party where sick to fucking death of her in the end,and glad to see the back.Having said that no working person really prospers under any prime minister,I think that,s a pre requisite,to keep the working man down.

Its odd that Blair ultimately suffered the same fate as her. Both won 3 General Elections, both won 3 landslides, yet ultimately both had to resign mid-way through their third term because they could no longer keep the party united. Blairs exit was cleaner than Thatcher's but the reasons behind it were the same.

That BBC News intro is fantastic, it lends power and importance to the program, the ones we have now sound like whoever came up with them is still reeling from the fact they never made it as a DJ - And I'm probably more accurate in that than I'd like.
The BBC is the last remains of Imperial Britain, when they speak, the world listens. It's a quality they should play up to, they shouldn't try to imitate the likes of ITV. Don't try to capture the zeitgeist, play to your strengths.

When this whore kicks off, I want to see a news story from central London featuring a group of drunk Brits singing "Ding-doing the witch is dead!"

One small step for a woman, one giant leap for mankind.
I know it's nothing to do with Maggie my comment but the BBC should've kept that news intro. It was the best.
