ADHD Symptoms

you make a really good point... I have it and sometimes it really hurts me when i forget to take my adderall and everyones like DID YOU FORGET YOUR PILLS?! i try to joke around and make fun of myslef but the truth is it still hurts... i was fine with my pills up until i found out this yea that on high school on collage campuses my pills are worth 15 bucks a pill cause they help you study.. sometimes im ashamed I need drugs to feel normal. i'd rather just have another outlet

I think I have it cause I cant pay attention to things for extended amounts of time. Not just things I dont like, but things I do like too.

I think Chibi has ADHD. You should give him ritalin and see what happens ...

I have ADHD. It just makes focusing difficult for me and makes me a little more hyperactive then people with out it. I take medication for it, also, which makes it easier to focus on my school work. I don't beleive ADHD has anything to do with bad parenting because haveing it means you have a chemical disorder that releases a bit too much or little of one thing which triggers the hyperactivity
Bad parenting, in my mind, are kids and adults that don't take responsibility for ther actions ^^;

There are parents out there that will claim their kids are ADD or ADHD simply because they can't control them. My mom claims I had ADHD when I was younger simply because I was always independent and my stepmom think theres something highly wrong with me, when there isn't. I DON'T HAVE ADHD or ADD.

All I was doing when I was younger , Was that I didn't feel listened to, so I escaped into my daydreams and my dreams and even more independent. They just suck as parents.

I was told the SAME bullshit you were THAT it HELPS you concentrate on school work, I have ADHD and for me it helped sometimes and others it made me concentrate on ripping off my fingernails until I started to bleed everywhere.
I don't know how old you are or how long you've taken the drug your on but if possible TRY to get off the drug and see the difference- the lies you've been told that you NEED the drug- I've been off it for 9 years, I have BETTER grades than I did on those drugs.

I was also told when I started kindergarten because of my ADHD I WILL NOT be ABLE to read or write, My mother proved those dumb asses completely wrong, ANYONE is capable of something if practiced, from Kindergarten to Grade 3 she helped me read and write, by Grade 3 I WAS Able to read 500+ paged Adult Fantasy books and understand what was going on in them, if I didn't understand one word I'd ook it up to learn what it ment, to people who have ADHD or ADD YOU CAN do it without the drug.

im 12, and I have been taking the drug for 2 moths, and I never hurt myself and it does help, but a HUGE side-effect is that I COMPLETELY loose my appetite.
