What anime are we watching again?
Yukis explanation of the Data Integration Thought Entity (which makes DITE, an amusing acronym) throws the cutesy fun officially out the window and brings on the brainhurt. It calls back a certain other anime that seemed to take pleasure in screwing with your mind. In fact, on a scale from 1 to Evangelion it rates about an 8. Oh poo, I just gave it away, didnt I? Damn. Now all we need is some Rei Ayanami deadpan reads, confused expressions, and strange acid-induced stream-of-consciousness spasms of psychology. Oh wait
In other important plot developments, Mikuru reveals she is the love child of Doc Brown from Back to the Future and Miyuki from Lucky Star, and as such, can travel back in time. After a trip to the local WcDonalds (lol), Haruhi gets unlucky again and Koizumi tells Kyon about his role on the Ghostbusters team. Kyon, always the skeptic, doesnt believe a word of anything this entire episode. Poor guy. If only hed listen.
Despite the title, this is actually The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, episode 3, The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, Part III. I dont own any rights to it or I would be laughing in your face right now about how you dont own it. Lol, just kidding.
DISCLAIMER!
The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya was broadcast out of order on Japanese television (kinda like Hidamari Sketch! and Rental Magica), and it was quite unexpected and hilarious. When Kyoto Animation, a company known for their unorthodox anime practices, was confronted about the change, they gave the excuse that Haruhi came and switched the episodes around. Whether she really did or not remains a mystery (J), but the fact is that now we have to deal with this confusingness. So Ill try and explain. The DVD order is, for the most part, the chronological order of the episodes to where they make more sense, the only exception being that 0 is actually 11 chronologically. That being said, if you want to watch it in its broadcast order the way it was intended (and its worth it, trust me), wait for me to upload all the episodes, and then watch them in this order:
0, 1, 2, 7, 3, 9, 8, 10, 13, 4, 12, 11, 5, 6. You wont regret it, and will likely be much more satisfied with the final episode. Or you could, yknow, buy the Limited Edition DVDs like I did, which come with the broadcast order on separate discs, and not have to wait. Cool boxes and extras too, you can see my reviews of them on my RamenPoodle account. Your choice, but I always advocate supporting the R1 industry, its not doin so hot right now. I suggest you do the same, so we can continue to have great anime.
Enjoy!

Quite so, but it gets even worse later in the story, if you've read the light novels O.O

While the subject of time is an interesting matter indeed, I'm afraid that I know nothing about it beyond the Wrinkle in Time books, lol. But as this is an anime, theories of time movement should probably not be taken entirely seriously. Glad you enjoy the show!
