Your ignorance is remarkable.. You can't comment this way on something you don't understand. You have to allow every human being their own life experience. I'm sure there are many things about your life that others would find 'savage'. Indian culture is deep and more than 5000 years old. We in the west are infants compared that.
Actually, it's not about disrespecting the dead, but a reflection on how they view the separation of body and soul. They believe that after the death of the body, the soul continues to another lifetime, so, the body is cast away and is just transitional. Also, the river is considered very holy; so it's really a 'cleansing' process for the body to be cast into the river. It's another paradigm that us Westerners can't really understand
That was a really nice video, guys - really enjoyed watching, brought back so many memories. Seems you got into some good adventures during the month you were there. Hope everything worked out well for the one of you who had to return home. Ah, India.......
A living reality for a billion people every day? What an ignorant statement. Not all of India is like this. Also, "living reality" is redundant. Btw, I'm not from India.
This is well done, but the title is wrong. only 10 seconds was spent on the ganges river and i clicked the video to learn about how aweful the river was. I would re-title the video
@N3CR1S ,,,i really think they dont know that,,,it seem like they dont respect the dead to just leave the dead body float on river and got eaten by animals,,nasty
