  • If you've got good ears - refined over many years - you can hear the pleasing effect of a quality compressor doing it's thing. When you can hear it squash it's usually gone too far unless that's the effect you want and sometimes you do. It's subtle yet super inportant processing. Keep listening rentatrip - you'll get it eventually.

  • I didn't know Eminem plays drums

  • @rentatrip, you can hear the higher freq's become more clear when it kicks in and its not supposed to be obvious. Same as if you run through API or Neve mic pre. Its very subtle, but becomes obvious when you start mixing and it all starts stacking up. Hope this helps

  • good stuff. nice drum recording. nice compression.

  • @promotah17 I think its a very obvious amount of processing going on, I don't know what that other guy is thinking.

  • To be honest I don't like transparent compressors. If I want that, there are plenty of plug ins that do that. I want a hardware compressor that has a signiture, like the LA-2A

  • so your telling me if I buy this i can make it sound like I did not hook up the unit at all?

Wow I'll run right out and spend the money , I can't wait ! A compressor that will make it sound like I am not using any compressor at all. what a bargain

  • Nice typo! I can't wait to own a pair!

  • Hi Wade.

How about some sweet accoustic, piano and electric

demos. Videos are always a great way to promote.

Let me know if you need help.
