1959 Bill Hayes - Wimoweh

Four years after his blockbuster "Ballad Of Davy Crockett" hit and still more than two decades away from his Doug Williams role on "Days Of Our Lives," Hayes issued this short and slick treatment of the old South African tune that would later achieve its greatest success via the Tokens recording of "The Lion Sleeps Tonight."
