This video is of a few indoor obstacle courses that my son and I put together on a couple of different Sunday afternoons. The 1st track is straight, because the steering servos stink in the mini-LST, and one of them was busted. I finally put some effort into makeing a custom bracket for a 1/10th scale servo, and put a Traxxas 2075 in there. It has ~125oz-in of torque (stock for the minilst is 30oz-in combined!)
The second course is much bigger and more fun. The truck is running a 6 cell nimh batt, and the stock motors are geared down from 23T to 12T pinions with a 58T spur, so it's geared about half the stock speed. I also locked the center diff, so that it wouldn't diff out so easily on the course. Aside from that, and the single servo conversion, the only other customizations are the replacement speed control (Traxxas XL-5 sans heatsink), and a traxxas mini-receiver.
Someday, I really want to get a brushless system and lipo for this little guy... it's really a fun litle truck!

One of my steering servos is busted too. Mine break all the time. Do you know if they make metal ones that would fit?
