  • Hey so I'm thinking of buying this rifle to put together a cheap sniper rifle. I don't like the scout scopes because of the look. I also would like a LER scope above the receiver because it looks better and I can take it off and use the rear iron sights for back up. Does this mount come loose or the scope after you fire a lot of rounds? How much was your scope for?

I'm goinge to put a compensator, rear rubber butt stock pad, and swivel bipod after I mount a scope. No more then $500

    Thanks

  • @MyCleverSN Because the band covers so much surface area in contact instead of 2 screws, this thing will never come loose. That scope I had was like $120 or something. If you do put this stuff together, make a video response to mine and I'll post it up.

  • @savage1r I actually am going to put together a video on this weapon. I'm not sure if I'm going to buy this mount though because I want to put a video together on how to build a cheap sniper rifle. So I'm really trying to get a good stable mount that won't come loose for cheap. Trying to put this together for $375. Mosin nagant 9130 round not hex receiver cause its cheaper, bent rifle bolt, mount, scope, compensator, bipod, and rear butt stock pad.

  • @MyCleverSN Well, good luck to you.

  • hey my rien has one of those guns and im just wondering why u didnt just have it taped like a remington 700 so u can put a rail on it. it just seams like that would be to high and not stable enough. just wondering if u thaught about the taping thing or if you decided not to do it ccuz of cost or whatever

  • @yaman123able It was tapped and the gunsmith screwed it up and over-bored the holes so the screws would loosen every 20 shots or so. The jmeck mount is just as stable as any tapped mount and doesn't require the cost of D&T and screwing up your firearm.

  • For heaven's sake, take the bolt out before you remove the action from the stock. It'll simplify access to that rear screw, and remove any doubt (at a glance) whether the weapon is in a safe condition. There's no reason to have the bolt in for this operation.

  • @savage1r I did do two videos on the mount under "JMECK Steel See Thru Scope Mount" and a part 2 after installation. Check out my other videos. I just completed the 3 line rifle stock custom project rifle.

  • How do you load the firearm with the mount so far back?

  • @ratagris21 Let me know how the install goes and how it shoots. If you can, make a video review/response yourself and I'll post it.
