I was traveling along Havelock Road towards City at 10:44am on 30 Dec 2011, Fri. The driver of this RMG Tour coach actually attempted to change lane near towards the road junction (from lane 1 far right into lane 2 centre) and worst still, he didn't even signal left to indicate his intention. The next moment, he slowed down (as seen from the brake lights) and swerved into my lane.
In my attempt to avoid a collision, I've got no choice but to filter left. I realized it's unwise to apply e-Brake because there was a lorry right behind me. At that moment, there was another car on my left which coincidentally caught up with me on lane 3 and we nearly ended up in a collision. Fortunately, we avoided the accident.
When my car and the coach stopped at the next traffic light, I got out and confronted the driver who basically appeared non-chalant. I knocked on the coach door asked him to explain his reckless act. He refused and gave me a really smirky look, as though nothing had happened and he appeared pretty cool about it.
I was appalled!
I strongly feel RMG Tour should carefully review the driving proficiency of the fleet of drivers under the group. Such reckless driving does not only endanger the lives of other road users but it certainly also put the lives of the passengers on board of the coach at risk. I trust that RMG Tour group will take appropriate actions against the driver and to ensure that such reckless driving never happen again.
