@underfoil you vote the bastards out in the government, get laws passed, try that with a private inusrance company? I was a licensed Insurance agent, and I know for a fact that Insurance companies are more corrupt than our government and the Insurance Industry does have Death Panels. The price of health care has gone up 200 to 400 % since the Insurance Industry stopped the health care reform attempt by Clinton

69% of Americans support the public option. Too bad republicans lose again

These people are literally killing me... I need health care in a bad way.
I had to break down and go to the ER last week because I had a cat bite my hand 2 weeks prior. It got terribly infected and my hand was the size of a boxing glove, but before that I had the thought process of well I just got to hope it works itself out. I have probs with my teeth right now... I could die from that... just go to sleep one night and not wake up. Many other people around here have it way worse than I do.

72% of Americans support the plan as polled in what, Chicago? Poll real America and tell me what those results are.

however, when the government is the only option (which the current bill eventualy does create), it's a monopoly. There's no collective bargaining with a monopoly. I trust the government less than Enron...

Collective bargaining would certainly come into play to reduce healthcare costs with a public option. A bidder with as much clout as the government would have a lot more say as far as price control goes than Republicans let on. Good show, brother.

Your government is lying to you universal health care is much cheaper to the average American .
-
I live in Canada and all I can tell you is our health care is great . When I compare my income and tax output to my American friends I pay slightly higher tax than they do. But when we add in the cost of there health care insurance I'm always $2000 to $4000 less

Only a matter of time when we find out Lindsay Graham has a secret, dark gay lover in Brazil.
I laugh every time I hear some congressmen talk about government "bureaucrat".... when he truth is we already have a bureaucrat, but this element is sitting at the health insurance company's office trying to deny you coverage, because the less coverage you get, the better bonus the bureaucrat gets. You have to watch the June 12 congress hearing on rescission; the full version is on C-SPAN. It shows you how low of fleabag the health insurance companies truly are.

I agree. We had a PR war against "bureaucrats" in the 80s, as if government red tape was worse than private red tape. The jig is up. The public wants universal health care, and nobody supports the insurance companies but the insurance companies....and the legislators who they bought out.
