Long Beach California Music Video : LELDON's Won't Ask Why

It was 1999. Some dude moved in below me at 3rd & Hermosa in the LBC.

Night after night I enjoyed the free "concerts" from above. LELDON's song "Won't ask Why" was going around in my head while I was going around the City, snapping 35mm pics of the dilapidation (and art & architecture). This was during the "Let's build instead of repair" phase of LB.

I put this amateur video together which I paid Charter to air on it's business channel (did you see it?) for the cost of a whole 30 minute infomercial. Shortly thereafter I learned about FREE LBCTelevision and have been promoting Channels 65/69/95 ever since - WATCH YOUR NEIGHBORS!

After I funded his demo, the record labels came down to Long Beach to check him out in the packed clubs.

Shortly after that he was signed by MCA Reords as the lead singer of One Way Ride, but is currently unsigned.

The climax of this video is the b&w flower in front of Luther Burbank school which turns to color. (They are actually 2 separate pictures).

Notice the sign about flower theft at the cemetary and the mural of the colorful, shadowy figures that USED TO to line Pine Ave near 4th (painting over artwork is sacriledge!)

10 or 12 yr ago met one of my closest friends over a Leldon cd, have listened to it alot over the years and hear I am on you tube and find such good response to his music. Spectacular songwriter, hope he has continued success.
