what kind of accent is this?
-
But if a wave needs a medium, then how can radio waves travel across the space?
-
your such an amazing teacher! It is your truly a gift of yours.
This is what makes this great:
1. Great explanation, clear and precise-good pronunciation
2. Great examples -familiar and real life examples
3. Great illustrations- simple and understandable
Thank you!

Say, The farther the sound wave comes from the longer the wave and the frequency is lower? I mean like a moving car playing music, the pitch changes when it moves towards you and from you. That's why in the sea for example Dolphins use very hight frequency to communicate with each other? The sound wave that travels becomes longer and looses it's strengh? But is it with Light and Radio waves?
-
@derekowens Of course light is pressure
-
Radio = electromagnetic wave.
Sound = oscillation of pressure.
Frequency is just a measurement.
And about Sea and Speaker waves: The sea wave goes up-down and the speaker: forward-back?

@MrGeneralRelativity Yes, the speaker moves forward and back, but a wave on the surface of the water is really a combination of up-down motion and forward-back motion.

About Middel C: The fundamental frequency is 256, there are also other frequencues in this sound called middle C. The wave with only one frequency called a Sine wave.
MrGeneralRelativity 4 months ago
@MrGeneralRelativity Yes, that is correct! And exactly how the various frequencies combine and at what amplitude will vary from one instrument to another. That is why middle C sounds different on a piano than on a violin or other instrument.
