Aynsley's phrasing is so much better. Both are excellent, but Aynsley is a much better all around guitarist in the vain of Eric Clapton.

I have watched Ainsley Lister a number of times , the most recent being last friday at the Musician in Leicester- admittedly its his own town but the place was packed. He gets better and plays melodically often using one or two notes to say what Matt will say with about 50. I disagree with all of these people. I saw Matt Schofield at the same venue a couple of months back playing to a handful of people. Great guitar player but just a touch self indulgent and to be frank just a touch boring.

It is true that only Aynsley can sell out a venue between the two, but Matt does come out top on this duel, but knowing the song did put him at an advantage. Hope there's a rematch one day!
