Kittens at this age love to "play" scratch and bite each other. Without another kitten companion the kitten will do it to you, thinking of no harm. However that isn't an excuse and is unacceptable behavior, which is why when a kitten does that to you, you can do a number of things. You can yell "NO" and clap your hands immediatley, or you can immitate the screech that kittens make when playing gets too rough. If you don't fix it the kitten won't learn. And btw, never hit it. It doesn't help.
