Man, it's hard to make Ambergris look bad, but this guy did it! Think that was an old rum plant in the beginning and then some old docks. People build things and then forget about them in Belize, but stuff doesn't last long in the dynamic environment and you have to look hard for stuff like that.

Looks like the water taxi is a nice way to go if you have the time. I have always flown to the island.

This was Ambergris when I visited. I did not use props! But beauty is in the eye of the beholder. The point is, how many people want Ambergris to become a dynamic environment anyway. It was lovely as it was. Build it up too much and it will destroy the very attractiveness that conciencious tourists are seeking out.
