wow i first saw clips of this in 454 Big Block - Born Human music video... its awesome. i highly suggest u go watch it. the freaks here end up murdering the normal people and thats the whole premice for the video as the hardcore band members see themselves as freaks of society. its interesting music video to say the least, watch it even if u dont like hard music

For this movie, made in 1932, they travelled the world and hired all the most famous circus performers of the time and called them "freaks".
You see here: Johnny Eck the Half Boy, Frances O'Connor the Venus di Milo, Olga Roderick the Bearded Lady, Koo Koo the birdwoman, Elvira and Jenny Lee Snow the "Pinheads", and my fav, Schlitzie.
They were allowed to do such mean things and use cruel names back in the day because there were no morality "rules" in entertainment yet
