you can now get a 4.8,5.3,6.0, or the new 6.2 liter in the half ton models or even the 4.3 v6 if you don't need the v8 power.

the 8 lugs were 1500 H-D not much more than a halfton but it had a semifloating 14bolt and eight lug front hubs with different coils. it also had a 6.0 v8. so pretty pointless to call it a "hd"

@jmanwild I am pretty sure the 1500HD had 8 lug wheels (it was basically the same as the 2500 non HD with 8600# gvwr), this truck only has 6 lug wheels.
