Last Friday me & my lovely lady put down a patio. Such a traditional suburban ritual deserves to be documented, don't you think?
Considering how bloody sore my back was the next day after all that digging, I figure the least I can do is show off our bodging handiwork.
So here you go, to the sytlings of Mr.Fat Boy Slim's Weapon of Choice.
Our weapon of choice being a spade, sharp sand & concrete slabs. Hurrah!

Me, along with my own lovely lady, are in the middle of this right now but for a bigger area with smaller pavers. I was searching for "serious" videos but this one has both made me laugh out loud and realise I need to stop fretting so much about the feckin' thing as I sit here broken and sore from a days digging.
I'm doing the whole compaction, weed barrier blah blah thing but I think what I really need is one of those child labourers. Genius idea.

If you need a lot of sand have a 1ooo kg jumbo bag delivered for about £40 much cheaper than those little bags with two shovel fulls in them.P.s its best to mortar the joints or the weeds will drive you mad.

No wacker plate,no compaction,no scalpings and cement.....this is a joke:))))

I did about 200 some 4 years ago and never want to do it again if you know what I mean.

I can say that I thoroughly enjoyed this video! Awesome editing and flow! You guys did an outstanding job, considering you all are not contractors! I applaud you all!
