When the Shinigami RYUK (Cliff Rouzier) drops a supernatural notebook with the power to kill whomever, whenever, wherever, it is picked up by YAGAMI LIGHT (Kevin Yee), a high school student who seeks justice. This fan film is based on the Death Note Manga and the first episode of the Death Note Anime entitled, "Rebirth."

We filmed in NYC in time square since the cast and crew live in america and not Japan. The shinigami world has japanese as the main language to reference the fact that it is a Japanese manga/anime.
