Our wild Magpie (Greedy) who visits with Mum (Bung Leg) and Dad (the Dad) is coming up to 3 years old, but still as Greedy as ever! After 5 months away in South America, look who greeted us on our return to WA!

  • magpies can remember your face/colour of hair, if u hurt them in any way they will remember you and often attack u. had a few idiots at school who hurt a few when it was egg season, as every 1 walked down the hill into school, they only swooped at the 4 guys and not every one else. was exciting that some 1 is beating them up XD

  • @Divixons they sure can. Our maggies live down the park and they recognise me as soon as I turn the corner into view. We have 2 new additions to the family. I'm currently making a short film of their antics.

  • They look alittle different from North American magpies. I have never seen the white beak here. I think most here are white on the breast and under the wings. I notice a white stripe on the outside and inside of his leg as well. Thanks for posting.

  • i ve got magpie actually coming inside of my house when i open the door and call him up " Whistle for him " but I was wondering what does he really like what food as i need him to be super excited when he visit me next time : )

  • We have 6 that come for our catfood. Fucking excellent birds, I love 'em.

  • i have a family of 4 magpies who regularly come to my house for food they really are amazing :)

the father (i assume) is always greedy like this one and often pushes the younger ones around when we're feeding them lol

the mother and the 2 younger ones are also very tame and will eat from our hands. I love these birds :D

  • Cool!
