The walls are made with Layer 3, the engine thingy is probably made with a custo msprite, and the scrolling is either:
a) a custom made scrolling sprite
or
b) one of these "special scrolling" (but I doubt it).

As far as i know, you can play just cutscenes in a separate window.
Also moving sprites can not be displayed! Let alone films
