It was a blow to the head, yes. But I find it very hard to believe that he targeted the head, and just because his head was down, does not make it a blind side hit. I think seeing it live, I would call a it a penalty, but given replay and such, I would take any further discipline. Clean hit on a guy caught with his head down...
Similar to the Doughty hit a couple of weeks back. And yes I am a Kings fan, and not arguing that one either...

What a great hit. It's a shame the refs let emotion get to them and called a questionable penalty. Not Ladd's Fault matt lowered his head.

That was a great hit .... Andrew caught him cold with his shoulder, not his elbow .... skates didn't leave the ice until after the hit. 4 on-ice officials and not one could get the call right.

@ridgemeadowsmoose Haha I'm not kidding... when Matt was in town, he and Osh got really close and were together a lotttttt. I think Osh got tired of Bergie because when I talked to him he said he and Matt were together everyday. I'm not sure if D'Ags is going to move in his own loft if he stays in STL this season though.. Oshies is NIIIIIIIICE.
