Oh, what a surprise: I have just noticed they made a remake on this for German TV... (And no writing credits for Richard Curtis in the German version as fas as I can see.) I do not need to stress out that I would always prefer Bill Nighy to Jan Josef Liefers!

I have to agree with teasymphony. This is one of the most vile threads I've ever seen, as well, and I only read the first page. But back to the video. This is a gem of a film. MacDonald and Nighy are wonderful together, and heartrending.
