On International Corporate Philanthropy Day, February 23, 2009, CECP convened fifty-five leading CEOs at The McGraw-Hill Companies in New York City to discuss corporate philanthropy, peer to peer. NBC's Tom Brokaw led a conversation with Jeffrey Immelt, chairman and CEO of GE, and Carlos Ghosn, president and CEO of Nissan, stimulating a new level of CEO engagement in corporate social investment. This high-profile program allowed global business leaders to participate in a timely discussion regarding pressing issues impacting corporate philanthropy.
This video focuses on elevating and prioritizing the social contract. CEOs discuss the need for the corporate world to share ideas on social contract and social compact. The CEO's encourage companies to set aside their old ways of thinking and and encourage and provide incentives for new thinking on how you can get more efficiencies and a bigger bang for your buck.
