I dont think he was pandering...but if you are speaking to an audience who relates to a natural sounding person - which he is when he is speaking informally - then you use the speech pattern that people best relate to. Mark only refines his speech pattern if he is speaking on legal matters to ppl who he doesn't know, in my exp, and ppl who prolly expect a lawyer to sound a particular way.
I have, until now, seen Mark as THE future of the PNP and am really disappointed to see him pander in a public forum. Michael didn't have to sound as though he was from the gutter to appeal to the masses and nor does Mark. Mark...take us to another level (up, not down).

Wow,
Mark has lost his quasi british/uptown accent.... I wonder why.... Maybe POWER???? Well only a matter of time for him to jump over to the green side.
