@LeopoldAuer: You sound like a beginning violin teacher...I really don't think this is representative of Ray's playing at it's best; it is an informal setting and just for fun. As far as the chinrest is concerned most violinists will tell you that holding the instrument in the most comfortable position is what's really important. Several front ranking violinists play with the chin in this position, over the tailpiece. It really doesn't matter that much.
