Thank you! This is "hands down" one of the best informational videos that I have ever seen! It was clear, concise and informative. Also, a big "paws up" to Daisy for being such a good model.

You can't just run the Furminator (and Shedender I assume) down the length of the dog! You have to use short strokes. It isn't the same as a regular brush.

@vickiormindyb actually it has instructions on how to adjust the shedender for left hand use.

@LADYnONYX The FURminator that you were holding is meant for cats, or so I was told on Amazon.

Wouldn't work for me. Just like the box cutter I have and can't use, b/c it was designed for a right-handed person.
I have seen the products on sale for quite a bit of money here in the states too. I've seen $35-$40. But, I've also found them cheaper - like $16-$20, must shop around.

I have used the furminator a few times after this experiment - which was hastily put together. I didn't buy these, they were loaned for the experiment. I thought I would like it but I have also had better luck with a slicker and a rake. The teeth on the Furminator and ShedEnder are so small and narrow... it's not really time effective because you have to make so many passes to get the entire dog brushed. Between the 2 products I'd still pick the furminator over shedender.
