Are there any 2008 items with lead paint?

Since the recall last year, there have been no new issues with Lead Paint. With the new testing they do, I don't expect to ever have a problem like that again.

i just got new sir handel yesterday, i know this is a dumb question but this is the first time i have touched one of the new trains paint and i was just wondering if anyone knows how you can tell if an engine looks like it might have lead paint?

You can't tell lead paint by looking at it. As long as you aren't eating/licking the paint there is no risk of lead poisoning from toys. The children who get lead poisoning usually are eating paint chips from old house paint. Learning Curve had a recall of some engines but Sir Handel was not part of recall. A store would get in serious trouble for shipping a toy that had been recalled.
