Bridging Heaven & Earth Show # 78 with Mark Jones and Shanti Shivani

Mark is spiritual teacher and channel whose newest book, "Bliss is Everywhere Now", combines useful how-to instruction in a variety of spiritual practices with a channeled exploration of Consciousness. Mark's core experience that Bliss, Joy, and Love are ever-present, and never grow old or out of style is presented in a inspired and powerful way in his fascinating new book.

Shanti is master musician, Dhrupad singer, sound healer, performance artist, and teacher of Nada Yoga (the yoga of sound). She lived in India for 8 years studying Dhrupad vocal music with the greatest exponents of its style, the Dagar family, as well as practicing Tibetan Buddhism and Hatha Yoga. She has also studied with Western musicians and sound therapists and has been an established workshop leader in Europe and the United States since 1986. Shanti has been performing since 1989 and has recorded several CD's with Dhurpad and meditative, improvisational music.

A few years back, i purchased Shanti Shivana's self-titled CD (which features sacred poetry - translated from Sanskrit, i believe - of Indian female luminaries such as Mirabai and Lala) after one of her concerts...and i've played it so many times, i cannot begin to count...a perfect meditation/trance CD...it's hard to find (unfortunately) and there are no liner notes; anyway, it was nice to find her/her music here -

BTW - i bought that self-titled CD (since there were several to choose from) on the advice of a friend i'd attended the concert with...who told me he'd played it upon receiving news of the death of his mother...and kept playing it over and over all the way during the 8 hour drive from LA to SFO where she was...and that it provided him with the healing 'bridging energy' he needed to brook that sorrow - which impressed me as being a beautiful story.
