The basics of the calculus of exponential and logarithmic functions. This video shows how we get the formulas for differentiating and integrating base e, and also base b, exponents and logarithms. A couple of very simple examples are included, but it's mostly theory. By Derek Owens.

  • just wondering. shouldn't the integral of 1/x be ln absolute value of x + C?

  • Yes, it should! Good catch, there. I do explain the absolute value sign in a different lecture.

  • this was the worst video i've ever seen. I can't beleive that you could be so dumb. just jokin great vid :)

thibk u could make a vid about atomic valency, got a test in 2 weeks, thnx anyway

  • Ha! You had me for a second. Atomic valency is, I'm afraid, out of my field. I have some very very introductory material in my Physical Science course, but it doesn't go too deep. I mainly do math and physics, high school level.
