Tragic Death of My Horse Marieke

This is a movie about the tragic accident that happend in December 2004, few days before christmas...

I noticed that some people ask about Ranger, the horse that survived, so I'll explain it to you.
Ranger was badly wounded at the accident, but I took care of him.
I washed his legs several times a day and just sat in his stable 'celebrating' christmas.
Slowly he recovered and after a while he was aloud to stay in the paddock, with other horses.
I was so busy working with him, that I didn't had time to think about the death of my mare.
But now he was a little better and in the pasture, I started crying and I just couldn't stop.
I went to Ranger every day and it was a constant battle.
I realized I couldn't give him what he diserved, so I dicided to sell him.
Not to anyone ofcourse, but he went to a woman in my neighbourhood, who promissed me that Ranger would grow old with her.
But she lied and after a year she sold him, without noticing me.
I don't know where he is now, but I'm afraid he's not alive anymore.

@TheHorseyymad Moving on is the hardest thing to do and even though I have another horse, I think of Marieke EVERY day.

I was 14 when I met her and she learned me everything I needed to work with her and she has a special place in my heart, that will never go away.

She even learned me how to deal with things that doesn't involve horses.

I will always love her, death doesn't part.

omg! I only disliked it because im 10, and I adore horses they are my world... and... i am crying so much! im in histerics! im so sorry for you... i would hate that to happen to my horse!... R.I.P! :'( my mum is cuddling me in my bed... she sais dont worry i hope that lady pulls throug!...

i just lost a horse very close to my heart due to abuse. his name was pappy and he had been abused his entire life when the owner started boarding him and his companion jack where i ride. the woman who owns the barn took them in and realized that the owner was never coming in to see the horses and realized he had been the abuser. she set up court dates but he never replied to her emails. the woman tried to nurse old pappy back to health but he died peacefully in his pasture with jack. R.I.P.

all i was thinking was how much i dislike people that think we mistreat our animals and they set them "free" which just leads to their deaths and injuries. They think they're doing the animals a favor, but in reality, our animals love us and we take awesome care of them. Fences are for SAFETY.

On New Years Eve, A few minutes before midnight, someone cut the fence at the ranch I go to, Luckily, we got there in time to catch the one horse that got out, and prevented the others ( there were at least 12 in there) from getting out, until we could fix the fence. I spent the first momments of 2012 standing on the highway, blocking horses from getting out with a bunch of cowboys. thank god No one was hurt!

I didnt how the palomino i cnat remember if mare died a car whent on her? because i do remember she was blinded.

im so sorry what an awful thing that woman did, did you confront her and get her to tell you who and where she sold it to? I hope you find him or at least what happened to him.
